Today I found out there was a soft LUD on my I485 application. I am not sure what it is. How can I find what is going on with my I-485 application. Befre that there was a soft LUD on my travel document which I file in 2007 after that I did not file that. I just want to know what is going on with my application. Please let suggest.

It is possible this can occur, but rare, A while back there was an article @ Murthy's website on this. They have to check with their Attorney to ensure there is no other issue in future. It depends on when the application was adjucated, whether prior to retrogression or not. The communication can be at a later date

Yes it happened to me, I didnt loose my internet connection that time but simply forget to change address on my pending 485 applications :)
Called the USCIS customer service center and one of the representative did update manually. Yes you can also do that for sure

I changed my address using the online facility provided by USCIS by filling out the AR-11 form. I got the confirmation for that. After that when I started to change for pending petitions (I-485), lost my internet connection. I could not go back to that part again.
I checked all the FAQ's etc but could not find a link that would explain how to change only the pending petitions, since AR-11 was already changed.
Please let me know if anybody was in the similar situation.

Hello All,

My EAD has already been filed by my Lawyer but she is charging too much for filing Advance Parole or Travel Document,so here goes my questions.
- Is there a way to file for Travel Document myself, without involving the lawyer and if yes how can i do that
- Do I need to wait for my EAD Receipt being sent to me before filing for Travel Document.
i did this exactly, where my lawyer filed my ead, but i filed my ap myself. all u need is i-485 receipt copy.

My employer is still the same who filed for my GC (and helping me keep my H1 current) Last couple of time when I went to India I have used AP to re-enter the US. My wife used her EAD to get a job locally - but now she has quite and she is in India. . I am currently in process of getting my H1 stamped on my passport, get H4 for my wife and son (who was born on July 30 2010 in India)
MY QUESTION IS : What should we use to re-enter the US ? AP or H1/H4 ?
Will my H1 and EAD still be valid ? or will I lose one of them ?
Please let me know. I do not want to take a wrong step since I am so close to getting my GC.

If you travel while I539 is pending, your 539 will be considered abandoned.
Its better to travel anyway if you are planning on it and then apply for visa.
Also do not use friends address. Once you move, you can file for AR-11 online and at that time it gives you an option to link any pending petitions to the address you just changed.

Gurus,
My case is - PD Nov 2007 , I-140 approved June 2008. I -485 is not applied. Can I change Job on this basis and still maintain my Priority date ?
BTW : Current company lawyer does not give copy of receipt of I-140 ( says its company property) though I know the LIN #.

Sell GCs for 30k each, or put up on auction.
30k is achievable goal for everyone if we save money for 6 years straight. Maybe live on bread and water or something but hey, after buying the GC, can get back to living normally!

You can file for EAD along with 485 or after you file 485 - EAD will be issued within 90 days (as of writing w/ current processing times) from the date of filing. You can change job only after 180 days filing 485 - In order for you to work for another employer you need EAD

Most of us know its surely a tiring and long process to get visa dates in Hindi for Delhi embassy. I tried for about a month before I got it. Here is what I observed and find very important for anyone taking Hindi visa dates in Delhi:
(a) Delhi embassy mostly adds new Hindi dates every two weeks. Specially when the english dates are about to expire, because Hindi dates are expired/not available most of the time :)
(b) These dates are added on either Thursday or Friday.
(c) Most chances are on Thursday/Friday morning or noon. That is from 10am IST to around 2-3pm IST.
(d) During this time, keep checking every 5 minutes. This is because once they release dates, I do not know, but the dates are gone in 10 minutes flat !!!
(e) Keep your information already filled and saved in vfs database, otherwise no chance that one can complete all DS 156/157 forms in those crucial 10/15 minutes.
(f) Good luck!
