What if the case is where I want to take up a new full time position and convert my current full time position to part time.....I guess one way to do it would be to transfer H1 to the new employer...wait for an approval and then file for another concurrent H1 for the part time job with the old company..But the problem is I'd have to wait until new approval comes...and also convince both companies to shell out 2k plus in filing fees....does any one have a better alternative ? HI All,
Please help me to sort out this difficult query.
Company 'X' holds my H1 Visa and i got an offer from comapny 'Y'
So i can easily xfer my H1 to company 'Y'
But i am expecting a better offer from company 'Z' in couple of days probably 2-3 weeks.It can be also the scenerio tht they may offer me in a day or two when my H1 xfer is already in process from company 'X' to 'Y'
In that case when can i xfer my H1 to company Z?
The worst solution is to get my Visa xfer to company 'Y' and after a month or so get it xfered to 'Z'. Is that possible and allowed to xfer it so quickly?

There is nothing called "H1b transfer" basically every company applies new H1b but it is within quota and you can have multiple companies holding your h1b visa but you can work only for one company on full time rest part time and there is no need cancel H1b, just go and join the company you want to join. My 6th year finishes October 2010. My LC is pending for more than one year. If I transfer my H1B from Company A to Company B, Can I get 7th year extension with Company B based on pending Labor with Company A?

Yes, company B can file for extension of your H1 for 1 yr by attaching proof of labor filing showing it has been filed and its pending for more than an year.

My check for 485 was cashed on August 20 (process by my bank) and the online case status says receipt was mailed out. But my lawyer has not received it as of today.

First of all congratulations to all those who got their approval in the last couple months. Now comes the big dilemma for some of us. Did anyone tried to switch their jobs, or at least, ditch their current employer? Did anyone switched their employer immediately after the green card approval? I am sailing in this boat. I want to switch my employer ASAP, but is hesitating to do so... as you know there are some obvious reasons later. What are other problems that you think other than getting tons of questions during the citizenship? Appreciate your answers. ;)
I've taken quite a few lawyer opinions on this. It is best to stay put for 6 months to a year if you want to play it safe. There's no rule set in stone regarding this. If there is a very compelling opportunity, go for it. If not, just chill a little. If your employer treated you badly because you were on the green card leash, return the favor by playing some games with such employers & enjoy the fun.

I request you to get a couple of friends together and schedule a meeting with the Senators local office. IV website has lots of resources and if you were to let us know once you have the meeting set up, one of us will get in touch with you and brief you on how to conduct the meeting.

If they reject the application if a signature or something is missing. Can we refile again? Or do we wait for PD to become current again.
In my oinion,
1) you can file again before August 17th if you got a rejection notification well before that.
2) If you may not be able to send proper application till August 17th then yes you will have to wait till PD becomes current again

Sorry, I was not sure what test I missed. I thought everything was done and was mentioned in I-693. I do not have copy of I-693 I submitted. I will try to get it from doctor. Pending of that, is this common test which I must have it and mention it on the I-693? I need to submit just TB Skin test or everything?
